Sustainability and Social Impact is a new six-monthly online journal, debuting in January 2024, dedicated to publishing the most significant original research, commentary, and analysis of direct relevance to the diverse community of sustainable researchers and professionals in both academia and industry.

Aims & scope

Sustainability and Social Impact aims to highlight all aspects of sustainability. The journal will highlight all facets of sustainability: from fundamental scientific advances to the design, scale-up and optimization of importance to society.

a broad scope of systems that significantly advance fundamental research, aid product and process development and explore new technological, business practices, policy and social solutions that impact to the society and drive toward sustainable lifestyle.

The journal will showcase the breadth of the discipline by covering all aspects of sustainable approach and transformations over a wide range of scales and systems. 

Online publication

Sustainability and Social Impact is an exclusively online publication. Articles are published using an Advanced Online Publication process, giving our authors an earlier publication date, and allowing our readers to access papers several weeks before they appear in a specific issue. Note that papers published online are definitive and may be altered only through the publication of an Addendum or Correction, so authors should make every effort to ensure that the page proofs are correct.

Content types

We publish a range of content types, including research Articles, News & Views, Reviews, Perspectives, Comments, Features and Correspondence that elaborate on significant advances in the field and cover topical issues.

Pada terbitan kali ini, diterbitkan riset-riset multidisiplin mulai dari aplikasi hingga teori. Semua sudut pandang ini bertujuan agar membawa kehidupan berkelanjutan selangkah lebih maju.

Kami mengangkat tema sustainability karena manusia memeliki peran dalam merawat bumi. Sustainability atau berkelanjutan mengusung semangat tidak hanya eksplorasi dan eksploitasi tetapi juga semangat keberlanjutan baik keberlanjutan secara nilai ekonomi, keberlanjutan secara sosial, keberlanjutan secara lingkungan ataupun keberlanjutan dalam hal kebaikan. Untuk itu, sustainability merupakan bidang ilmu multidisiplin, interdisiplin sekaligus intradisiplin dimana semua bidang ilmu sekarang berlomba-lomba agar manusia dalam beraktivitas di bumi ini tidak meninggalkan sisa-sisa keburukan tetapi meninggalkan sisa-sisa kebaikan yang terus berkelanjutan. Peran dari setiap bidang ilmu ini diharapkan memiliki dampak yang benar-benar dirasakan oleh masyarakat (Social Impact).
